Athuga Affiliate Analytics is a WordPress affiliate tracking and affiliate analytics plugin that helps you track affiliate links, affiliate clicks, unique clicks, cloaked links and performance. It helps publishers, affiliate marketers and website owners understand which affiliate links receive clicks, which pages generate affiliate activity, where visitors come from and how performance changes over time.

Athuga Affiliate Analytics is focused on affiliate activity rather than general website statistics. The Free plugin tracks affiliate clicks, unique clicks, anonymous visitors and sessions, pages, referrers, countries, devices, browsers and operating systems.

The plugin supports both direct affiliate URLs and common cloaked or redirected affiliate links. Configure your cloaked URL patterns and affiliate domains, and Athuga Affiliate Analytics can identify and track relevant affiliate activity without rewriting your links.

Affiliate Link Tracking

Athuga Affiliate Analytics can track affiliate links in two common ways:

• Cloaked URL patterns — configure patterns such as /go/* for links handled by your site’s redirect or cloaking system.
• Affiliate domains — add the domains used by your affiliate networks when direct affiliate URLs are used.

The plugin recognizes and records affiliate activity without requiring automatic affiliate-link rewriting.

Country Analytics

Athuga Affiliate Analytics includes local IPv4 country resolution using a compact bundled country database. Country resolution does not require an external geolocation API request.

The bundled country data is derived from DB-IP Lite.

Athuga Affiliate Analytics Pro

Athuga Affiliate Analytics Pro is a separate plugin that adds advanced analytics and reporting capabilities on top of the tracking foundation provided by Athuga Affiliate Analytics.

Revenue Analytics (Pro)

Revenue Analytics in the separate Pro plugin connects affiliate traffic with conversion and payout data.

How It Works

Athuga Affiliate Analytics identifies affiliate activity from configured cloaked URL patterns and affiliate domains. It records analytics events and uses anonymous visitor and session identifiers for reporting.

The reporting layer organizes affiliate activity by asset, page, referrer, country, device, browser, operating system and time.

The plugin stores event timestamps in UTC and presents reporting periods using the viewer’s local browser timezone.

Configuration

Configure the affiliate links you want to track under Athuga Affiliate Analytics → Setup.

The plugin does not require automatic affiliate-link rewriting.

Reporting Periods and Timezones

Core reporting includes today, yesterday and 7-day periods. Reporting uses the viewer’s local browser timezone, including daylight-saving changes.

Athuga Affiliate Analytics stores event timestamps in UTC and converts them for reporting.

Privacy

Depending on site activity, analytics records can include page URLs, referrer information, country, device, browser, operating system, language and hashed technical identifiers. The plugin uses anonymous visitor and session identifiers and does not store the raw visitor identifier used to create the visitor hash.

Athuga Affiliate Analytics uses cookies for anonymous visitor and session identification and a browser timezone cookie for local reporting.

Country resolution in the Free plugin uses the bundled local IPv4 country database and does not send visitor IP addresses to an external geolocation service.

Installing the plugin by itself does not make a website compliant with GDPR, ePrivacy or other privacy laws. Site owners are responsible for determining the legal basis, consent requirements, privacy notices and configuration appropriate for their website and visitors.
