Let customers order quantities such as 0.5 or 1.3. Set a shared quantity increment and minimum for your catalogue, while keeping accessories in whole units.
The free version includes:
- one global decimal quantity rule, with a configurable increment and minimum;
- decimal stock for simple and variable products;
- quantity validation on product pages, in classic and block carts, and through the WooCommerce Store API;
- decimal quantities preserved in orders, refunds and stock movements;
- a whole-quantity exception for individual products, inherited by all their variations;
- an optional quick setup assistant and integrated documentation.
For example, an increment of 0.1 and a minimum of 0.8 allow 0.8, 0.9, 1, 1.1 and so on, subject to available stock. Customers can also edit decimal quantities directly in the cart and update their totals.
Optional Pro version
The Pro version is a separate add-on. It adds decimal quantities for selected products in an otherwise whole-quantity catalogue, plus custom increments, minimums and maximums for each product or variation. The free version remains installed and provides the shared WooCommerce engine.

External services
The free version does not contact any licensing, analytics, telemetry or commercial service automatically. It contains no third-party commercial SDK.
Some administration screens contain static links to the optional Pro comparison page on decimalquantities.com. The website is contacted only after an administrator deliberately clicks one of those links. All features of the free version work without creating an account, entering a license key or consenting to usage tracking.

Installation
- Install and activate WooCommerce.
- Upload this plugin through Plugins > Add New, or install it from the WordPress.org directory once available.
- Activate the plugin and open WooCommerce > Decimal Quantities.
- Choose whether products use whole or decimal quantities by default.
- If decimal quantities are enabled, set the shared increment and minimum quantity.
- Optionally keep individual products in whole quantities from their Inventory settings.

Does the free version require an account or license?

No. All its features work without an account or license and without usage tracking.

Can I use different increments for different products?

The free version applies one shared decimal increment and minimum to the catalogue. You can choose values such as 0.1, 0.125 or 0.25, but the chosen rule is shared. Individual products can remain in whole quantities; all their variations inherit this exception.
The separate Pro version adds individual decimal rules for products and variations. It also allows decimal quantities on selected products when the rest of the catalogue uses whole quantities.

How do the increment and minimum work together?

The minimum must be a multiple of the increment. For example, an increment of 0.25 and a minimum of 0.5 allow 0.5, 0.75, 1 and 1.25. Available stock may further limit the quantity.

Are decimal quantities checked before checkout?

Yes. Quantity rules are checked on product pages, in classic and block carts, and through the Store API. Decimal quantities are also preserved in orders, refunds and stock movements; a purchase minimum is not a minimum refund quantity.

Why does the cart counter show the number of lines?

The plugin makes the WooCommerce cart counter count cart lines instead of adding quantities together. Two lines with quantities of 1.3 and 0.5 give a counter of 2. This also applies when products use whole quantities.

What happens with products marked as sold individually?

WooCommerce limits these products to one whole unit. That setting takes priority over decimal quantity rules.

Does the plugin calculate measurements or convert units?

No. It manages purchasable quantities. It does not calculate width multiplied by length, convert between units or automatically add unit labels such as metres or kilograms to prices. Set your product price for the unit you sell.

What happens when a Pro license expires?

Quantity rules already installed with the Pro version continue to work. Only future updates for the Pro version and its support stop.

Other extensions and themes that modify quantity fields or validation may affect compatibility. Test your shop’s purchase flow before using a new configuration in production.
