Scientific AI Image SEO & Alt Text is an audit-and-repair dashboard for WordPress image ALT text.
Unlike automatic ALT generators, the Free plugin focuses on reviewing the existing Media Library, measuring ALT coverage, finding gaps, and letting an editor repair ALT text from one screen. Filename-derived suggestions are generated locally from existing attachment filenames; the Free plugin does not send images or content to an AI service.

This Free plugin does not contact OpenAI or any other third-party AI service.
All Free features run on your WordPress site and no API key is required.
The separately distributed Pro add-on has its own external-service requirements and documentation.
Privacy
Scientific AI Image SEO & Alt Text Free does not include analytics, tracking, telemetry, or advertising beacons.
Installation
- In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New Plugin > Upload Plugin.
- Upload the Scientific AI Image SEO ZIP file.
- Activate the plugin.
- Open Scientific AI > Image SEO.

Is the Free plugin an automatic ALT text generator?

No. The Free plugin is an audit-and-repair workflow. It finds missing ALT text, measures coverage, lets editors update ALT text from one dashboard, and offers local filename-derived suggestions. It does not automatically analyse images with AI.

Does the Free version require an OpenAI API key?

Does the audit send my content to an external service?

No. The Free usage/context audit runs locally against your WordPress database and does not use an AI API.
