DeVuego Ficha de Juego

Description

DeVuego Ficha de Juego lets any WordPress author paste the URL of a video game page on DeVuego, a Spanish-language video game database, and automatically display a card with:

  • Title and release year
  • Cover art
  • Studio, developer and publisher
  • Direct links to the official stores where the game can be bought

Usage via shortcode:

[devuego_juego url="https://www.devuego.es/fjuego/gris"]

or via the “Ficha de juego DeVuego” Gutenberg block, by pasting the URL in the block settings panel.

Data is fetched live from a public DeVuego endpoint and cached locally (12 hours) to avoid unnecessary traffic.

Changelog

1.0.9

  • Fixed a vertical misalignment between the cover art and the title/store buttons column, caused by the host theme’s default image margin bleeding into the card (visible only on the published page, not in the block editor preview).

1.0.8

  • Wired up wp_set_script_translations() for the block editor script, so an approved translation on translate.wordpress.org will actually be applied to the block’s editor strings (it previously only affected the PHP-side strings).

1.0.7

  • Added plugin icon, banner and a screenshot to the WordPress.org listing.
  • Readme text now consistently uses the “DeVuego Ficha de Juego” name.

1.0.6

  • Renamed the main plugin file and folder to match the slug assigned by WordPress.org (devuego-fjuego).
  • Text Domain updated to devuego-fjuego to match the slug, as required for automatic translation loading.

1.0.5

  • Removed the Plugin URI header (it was identical to the Author URI, which WordPress.org does not allow).

1.0.4

  • The card now sets its own base font size instead of inheriting the theme’s, so store buttons and text render at a consistent, compact size regardless of the theme.
  • Store buttons made smaller.

1.0.3

  • Pasting a DeVuego game page URL on its own line in the block editor now automatically converts it into the block.
  • The card now displays styled inside the block editor preview, matching the frontend.
  • Smaller store buttons; store icons forced to white/full opacity regardless of theme icon-font defaults.

1.0.2

  • Removed the manual load_plugin_textdomain() call (translations are loaded automatically since WordPress 4.6).
  • Fixed an unescaped output warning in the credits line.

1.0.1

  • Card styling improvements: higher-specificity CSS so the card renders consistently across themes.

1.0.0

  • Initial release: shortcode and Gutenberg block to display a DeVuego game card.
