Description

This plugin installs the Converloop AI chatbot embed on any WordPress website. It supports Multipurpose AI chatbots and WooCommerce AI chatbots. When WooCommerce is active, optional store features such as WhatsApp checkout consent are also available.

External services

This plugin connects to the Converloop AI hosted service at https://converloop.com. Converloop AI is a service provided by Nextech Studio. This external service is required to load and operate the chatbot; the plugin cannot provide chatbot functionality without it.

When the chatbot is enabled, the plugin loads either https://converloop.com/embed.js or https://converloop.com/woocommerce-embed.js on public website pages. The request sends the website visitor’s IP address and standard browser request information to Converloop, as occurs when loading any external script. It also includes the configured Converloop Widget ID, or legacy tenant and subscription identifiers, so Converloop can identify the chatbot configuration. The configured widget position is included as well.

When a visitor uses the chatbot, the hosted script may send the current page URL and referring page, chatbot messages, session identifiers, timestamps, and information the visitor voluntarily enters, such as name, email address, phone number, lead details, and order lookup information. This information is sent only as needed to provide chatbot replies, lead capture, product or order assistance, conversation history, security, diagnostics, and other features enabled by the site owner in their Converloop account.

On WooCommerce stores, optional WhatsApp consent choices can be displayed at checkout. The plugin records the customer’s selected consent and the displayed disclosure text in the WooCommerce order. When the merchant has configured related Converloop commerce automations, this information may be processed by Converloop to provide those requested automations. These choices are optional and are not preselected.

Use of the Converloop service is subject to the following policies:

Installation

Upload and activate the plugin.
Open Converloop AI from the main WordPress admin menu.
In your Converloop subscription, select Install on your website and copy the Widget ID into the plugin.
Enable the chatbot and save.

WhatsApp commerce automations are optional. In the same settings page, merchants can separately enable unchecked order-update (Utility) and offers (Marketing) consent choices. The chatbot continues to work without those choices.
