mendsch Booking Widget

Description

If you’re a therapist on mendsch with a Max subscription, this plugin adds a small booking button to the bottom-right corner of your website. When a visitor clicks it, they can request an appointment with you — without leaving your site.

This plugin has exactly one job: let you paste your mendsch Widget ID into a settings field, and it takes care of adding the booking button for you. No design, no configuration beyond that — everything else (what the button looks like, what happens when someone books) is handled by mendsch and updates automatically.

The plugin itself is free and fully functional — there is nothing to unlock or upgrade within WordPress. It works entirely by connecting to your mendsch account, which is where the Max subscription applies.

You’ll find your Widget ID in your mendsch dashboard, under “Booking-Widget”.

Third-Party Services

This plugin loads a JavaScript file from mendsch’s own servers (widget.mendsch.at) on every page of your site, and displays a booking button rendered from those servers. If a visitor uses that button, the details they enter (name, email, phone number, and any message) are sent directly to mendsch to create the booking or contact request.

No visitor data passes through, or is stored by, this plugin or your WordPress installation — it goes straight from the visitor’s browser to mendsch. This plugin does not use cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics of its own; whether mendsch’s servers set any are covered by mendsch’s own privacy policy.

Installation

  1. Install and activate the plugin.
  2. Go to mendsch Booking in your WordPress admin menu.
  3. Paste your Widget ID (from your mendsch dashboard) and save.
  4. The booking button now appears automatically on every page of your site.

FAQ

Where do I find my Widget ID?

Log in to your mendsch dashboard and open “Booking-Widget” in the sidebar. Your Widget ID and a ready-to-copy snippet are shown there — this plugin needs only the ID itself.

I don’t have a mendsch account yet

This plugin is only useful if you’re already a verified therapist on mendsch.at with a Max subscription. Visit mendsch.at to learn more.

Can I change where the button appears?

Not in this version — the button always appears in the bottom-right corner. This may become configurable in a future release.

Can I turn the button off temporarily?

Yes — but not here. Manage this from the “Booking-Widget” page in your mendsch dashboard rather than in WordPress: it’s the one place that controls the button consistently, whether it’s embedded via this plugin, a plain HTML snippet, or on a non-WordPress site like Wix or Squarespace. Turning it off there takes effect immediately everywhere, without touching your saved Widget ID here.
