Bidquill adds a 24/7 AI chatbot to your home-services website that works like a smart estimator — it answers visitor questions, qualifies the job, and emails you a structured, ready-to-call estimate request the moment contact details are captured. Respond within minutes, when conversion is highest.

External service disclosure
To generate replies, this plugin sends the visitor’s chat messages and the business information you
configure to an external AI backend service at the “Backend API URL” set on the settings page
(a hosted service is pre-filled by default). No data is sent until the widget is configured. Chat
transcripts and captured lead details are processed by that backend to produce answers and estimate
summaries. By using the configured Backend API URL you agree to that data being sent to that service.

Installation
- Install the plugin (Plugins > Add New > Upload, or from the directory) and activate it.
- Go to Settings > Bidquill.
- Enter your business name, services & service area, business info/FAQ, and notification email. (The Backend API URL is pre-filled with the hosted service — leave it as-is unless self-hosting.)
- Click “Save & Sync”. The chat bubble will appear on your site.

Do I need an API key?

No. Bidquill is pre-configured to use a hosted assistant backend, so it works out of the box. Advanced users can point it at their own self-hosted backend instead.

Will it quote a price to the customer?

No. Bidquill never gives a binding price. It captures the job details (trade, scope, timeline, service area) and gets the visitor scheduled for an estimate, then emails you the request.

Will the chatbot make up services or prices?

No. It answers only from the business info and FAQ you enter on the settings page. If it doesn’t know something, it says so instead of inventing an answer.

What happens when someone becomes a lead?

The moment a visitor shares their name and contact details, you receive an email with a structured, ready-to-call estimate request so you can respond fast.

What languages are supported?
