Merqivio EU Compliance helps store owners organise and check important EU product-compliance information directly inside WordPress.
The free plugin is independently usable. It does not require a Merqivio account, license key, subscription or Merqivio API.

Official EU legal-guarantee notice
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 applies from 27 September 2026. The harmonised legal-guarantee notice has fixed content and design requirements.
When an administrator explicitly enables this feature, WordPress downloads the official, unmodified notice once from the European Union Your Europe website and stores it locally in the site’s Media Library. Visitors are then served the local copy.
The plugin does not recreate, edit or brand the official notice.
External services
This plugin does not use a Merqivio external service.
One optional external connection is used:
- European Union Your Europe (europa.eu) — only when an administrator explicitly enables the official legal-guarantee notice, WordPress downloads the selected language version of the official harmonised notice and stores it locally.
- Data sent: normal technical request information inherent in an HTTPS download, such as the website server’s IP address, request headers and requested notice URL. No Merqivio scan results, product data or customer data are sent.
- Purpose: obtain the official, unmodified regulatory notice requested by the administrator.

No external request is made for this feature unless an administrator enables it.

Installation
- Upload and activate the plugin.
- Open Merqivio EU Compliance in WordPress admin.
- The interface starts in English. Select another supported language if desired.
- Run the local compliance check.
- Open products to complete missing manufacturer, responsible-person, safety or DPP information.
- Optionally enable display of product-compliance information.
- Optionally enable the official EU legal-guarantee notice and select its position.

Does the plugin send my store data to Merqivio?

No. The compliance scan runs locally and no scan results or product data are transmitted to Merqivio.

Do I need a Merqivio account?

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. Product fields and product-page output integrate with WooCommerce when WooCommerce is active.

Does it guarantee legal compliance?

No. It provides technical checks and structured fields. Applicable legal requirements depend on the product, business role, markets and factual circumstances.

Why does the legal-guarantee feature contact europa.eu?

Only after an administrator explicitly enables the feature, WordPress downloads the official EU notice once and stores it locally. Visitors do not load the notice from europa.eu.

Is PRO required?

No. The WordPress.org plugin is complete and independently usable. PRO is a separate optional add-on; no paid code is included or locked in the free plugin.
