Dastyar Site Connector

Description

Dastyar Site Connector securely connects a WordPress or WooCommerce site to the Dastyar Site service.

Main features:

  • Sync selected posts, pages, products, categories, and optionally comments.
  • Send webhooks when selected content is created, updated, or deleted.
  • Receive and publish approved articles, products, images, podcasts, and comment summaries.
  • Generate product descriptions, SEO metadata, suggested comment replies, single-field text, editor images, and Elementor widget text/images.
  • Register Dastyar as an official AI provider in the WordPress 7 AI Client and Connectors screen.
  • Map selected SEO plugin metadata and support WooCommerce data.
  • Protect platform REST endpoints with a site-specific connection token.

The plugin does not exchange data with Dastyar until an administrator provides a Site Code and Connection Token and explicitly approves the connection. Administrators can control webhooks, AI, comments, email hashing, and the content statuses that are available for synchronization.

External Service

This plugin connects to Dastyar Site, an independent SaaS service that provides content workflow, synchronization, controlled publishing, and AI operations.

Service communication starts only after an administrator enters the Site Code and Connection Token and enables connection consent. The service may be contacted when:

  • The administrator tests or verifies the connection.
  • Dastyar performs an initial or incremental synchronization.
  • An enabled webhook reports a content or taxonomy change.
  • A user or a WordPress AI Client integration makes an AI request.
  • Approved content, an image, or a podcast is published from Dastyar to WordPress.

Depending on enabled settings, transmitted data may include:

  • Site URL and WordPress/plugin versions.
  • Post or page IDs, titles, content, excerpts, statuses, and URLs.
  • Product names, descriptions, SKUs, prices, stock data, and categories.
  • Category information and explicitly allowed metadata.
  • Comment text and author name. If separately enabled, a one-way SHA-256 hash of the commenter email is also sent. The raw commenter email is not sent by synchronization.
  • Content identifiers and fields needed for controlled publishing or updates.
  • AI prompts, messages, selected model, and generation settings when AI is used.

An account on Dastyar Site is required for connected features. Some AI operations may consume the Dastyar account wallet balance.

Privacy

The plugin registers suggested text in the WordPress Privacy Policy Guide. Administrators should review and adapt that text for their site.

Failed webhook payloads may be stored temporarily in the WordPress database. They are removed after successful delivery, after the retry limit, or when an administrator clears the queue.

Installation

  1. Install and activate the plugin from WordPress.org.
  2. Open the Dastyar Site menu in WordPress administration.
  3. Create an account at dastyar.site and add your site.
  4. Enter the site-specific Site Code and Connection Token.
  5. Review and approve connection consent and synchronization scopes.
  6. Run the connection test.
  7. Enable webhooks, AI, comment summaries, or podcasts as needed.

For improved secret management, define the Connection Token as the DASTYAR_API_KEY constant or environment variable. A server administrator may override the service base URL with DASTYAR_PLATFORM_BASE_URL, but only a public HTTPS URL is accepted.

FAQ

Does the plugin send data before I connect it?

No. Service requests require a Site Code, Connection Token, and explicit administrator consent. Plugin CSS, JavaScript, and image assets are loaded locally.

Which data is sent to Dastyar?

Only data needed by enabled features and scopes is sent. See the External Service section above and the Dastyar privacy policy for details.

Are drafts or private posts synchronized?

Only when an administrator enables the non-public content scope. New installations expose published content only by default.

Is the raw commenter email sent?

No. If comment synchronization and email hashing are both enabled, only a one-way SHA-256 hash is transmitted for technical matching.

How does WordPress 7 AI support work?

The plugin registers a Dastyar provider with the official WordPress AI Client. WordPress automatically displays it under Settings > Connectors. Compatible AI Client tools can discover the billable Dastyar text models. A valid Site Code, connection consent, and active Dastyar account are still required.

Is AI usage free?

The plugin is free and GPL licensed. Connected SaaS features and AI models may require a Dastyar account and sufficient wallet balance.

How can I disconnect the site?

Disable connection consent, remove the key from Settings > Connectors, disconnect the site in Dastyar, or deactivate the plugin.

Does uninstalling remove generated content?

No. Generated posts, products, comments, images, and podcasts remain owned by the site. If opt-in uninstall cleanup is enabled, only plugin settings, caches, logs, and the retry queue are removed.

Is WooCommerce required?

No. Post, page, and AI features work without WooCommerce. Product features are available only when the product post type exists.
