Rampex.io Payment Gateway

Description

Rampex.io Payment Gateway is an anonymous payment gateway for WooCommerce: no KYB, no rolling reserves, no setup or monthly fees, no hidden fees, no chargebacks, no account freezes and no payment holds.

Every successful order settles automatically on-chain. Funds never sit in a Rampex wallet: Rampex takes a flat 1% platform fee (on top of the payment provider’s fee) and the balance is forwarded to your own self-custodial, EVM-compatible wallet in the same settlement transaction — 0% settlement risk for you. USDC on Polygon is the default settlement configuration, not the only option.

Your customers pay the way they already trust — credit and debit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, SEPA and direct bank transfer — plus 25+ more methods such as iDEAL, Klarna, Revolut, PayPal, UPI and Interac.

This is the official plugin for the Rampex payment service. Rampex and Rampex.io are names of the Rampex service operated at rampex.io, and this plugin is published and maintained by that same service. A free Rampex account is required to use the plugin; account signup, API keys and payouts are handled at rampex.io. See the terms and privacy policy.

The plugin does not ship a fixed list of payment methods. On each store it fetches the providers that are currently live on your Rampex account and registers one WooCommerce gateway per provider, so new providers appear in WooCommerce → Settings → Payments automatically as Rampex brings them online.

Supported payment methods

Customers pay by credit or debit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, SEPA and direct bank transfer — plus 25+ more methods. The available methods depend on what is enabled for your Rampex account. Typical routes include:

• Hosted Checkout — a secure Rampex-hosted payment page (or your own branded checkout domain on whitelabel accounts).
• Cards and wallets — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and similar, via the routed providers.
• Europe — Revolut, iDEAL, Klarna, SEPA, Sofort, Bancontact, Giropay.
• India — UPI / IMPS.
• Canada — Interac.
• United States — Stripe, PayPal, Robinhood.
• On/off-ramp partners — MoonPay, Transak, Banxa, Ramp Network, Simplex, Utorg, Sardine, Transfi, Guardarian, Topper, Bitnovo, Particle, Binance.

Currency support varies by provider: some are single-currency (for example Revolut in EUR, Klarna in SEK, UPI in INR, Interac in CAD), while most others are multi-currency. Whatever currency the customer pays in, settlement goes to your self-custodial EVM wallet — USDC on Polygon by default.

How it works

1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments and enable the Rampex gateway(s) you want.
3. Paste your Rampex API key into each gateway you enable and press Test Connection.
4. Customers pick a Rampex payment method at checkout and complete payment with the selected provider.
5. The payment settles on-chain to the default wallet configured on your Rampex account — automatically, in the same settlement transaction, minus the flat 1% platform fee.

Whitelabel: Master Merchant Program

Any merchant can apply for the Rampex Master Merchant Program and operate a fully whitelabeled payment gateway on their own domain: branded checkout pages, branded plugin downloads for their sub-merchants, email sent from their own domain, and a 0–10% fee share charged to their sub-merchants. Sub-merchants never see Rampex branding.

External services

This plugin connects to the Rampex payment service to validate your API key, look up the payment providers enabled on your account, convert order totals, and create the payment link a customer is sent to. It is required for the plugin to function: without Rampex there is no payment processing.

Requests are made to the following endpoints, all operated by Rampex:

1. API key validation — https://api.rampex.io/api-validate-key
   Sent: the Rampex API key you entered. Triggered: when you press Test Connection in the gateway settings, and when a gateway is first configured.

2. Provider list / status — https://api.rampex.io/control/provider-status/
   Sent: no store or customer data. Triggered: in the WordPress admin when the list of available Rampex gateways is refreshed.

3. Currency conversion — https://api.rampex.io/control/convert.php
   Sent: the order total and the store currency code. Triggered: when a customer places an order with a Rampex gateway.

4. Payment link creation — https://api.rampex.io/api-create-payment-link
   Sent: your Rampex API key, the order number, order amount and currency, the selected provider, the customer’s email address (used for the payment receipt and payment status notifications), and the return/callback URLs of your store. Triggered: when a customer places an order with a Rampex gateway.

5. Payout address resolution — https://api.rampex.io/control/wallet.php
   Sent: the payout wallet address configured on your Rampex account and your store’s callback URL. Triggered: when a payment is being created.

No data is sent to Rampex unless a Rampex gateway is enabled and used, or you press Test Connection.

The files in assets/images/providers/ are payment-method marks used solely to identify the payment option a shopper is selecting at checkout (nominative fair use). Each mark is the property of its respective owner and no affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement is implied.

  Card.svg is a neutral, Rampex-authored icon (GPLv3, same licence as the plugin) and is used as the fallback whenever no branded mark applies. Store owners can replace any icon per gateway with the Icon URL setting.

If a mark owner or the plugin review team objects to a bundled mark, the file can be removed and the gateway falls back to Card.svg with no loss of functionality.
