Privacy Consent for Forms

Description

Privacy Consent for Forms adds one required consent checkbox to the forms on your WordPress site, so you don’t have to edit each form by hand.

Once the plugin is active, a checkbox such as “I accept the Privacy Policy” appears above the submit button of your forms. The words “Privacy Policy” link to your policy page. If a visitor tries to submit without ticking the box, the form is not sent and a clear error message appears next to the checkbox.

It works with the most common form builders, and a generic fallback covers plain HTML forms from smaller or custom plugins as well.

Why site owners use it

Data protection rules increasingly expect an explicit, unticked opt-in before a site collects personal details through a form. In Israel, Amendment 13 to the Privacy Protection Law (in force since August 2025) led many site owners to add a visible consent step to their contact and lead forms. Sites with visitors from the EU face similar expectations under the GDPR.

Instead of configuring consent separately in every form builder, this plugin gives you one consistent consent checkbox across the whole site.

How it works

1. Activate the plugin.
2. Under Settings > Privacy Consent, confirm the link to your Privacy Policy page (the WordPress privacy page is used by default).
3. The checkbox is added to your forms automatically, including forms that load later, such as Elementor popups and Ajax-loaded forms.
4. Submission is blocked until the visitor ticks the box.

Search forms are always left alone, including Ajax Search Pro, so visitors are never asked for consent just to search your site.

Privacy

This plugin does not track visitors, does not use cookies, does not send data to any external service and does not require an account. It does not store consent records. It only makes sure the visitor ticks the box before the form can be sent. Form entries are handled by your form builder as usual.

Free, no premium version

The plugin is complete and free under the GPL. There is no paid tier and no upsell.

It does not, on its own, make your website compliant with the GDPR, the Israeli Privacy Protection Law or any other law.
