Neat Media adds a complete folder management system to the WordPress Media Library. Files can be organized into unlimited nested folders, moved between folders using drag & drop, and displayed by folder in both grid and list view.

Installation
- Upload the plugin folder to
/wp-content/plugins/ - Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress
- Open the Media Library – the Neat Media sidebar appears automatically on the left
Data Storage
Neat Media does not create custom database tables. Folders are stored as a WordPress taxonomy (neat_media_folder) in the standard WordPress tables.

FAQ
Will my files be deleted when I delete a folder?
No. Deleting a folder only removes the folder and its assignments. All media files remain in the Media Library and become uncategorized.
How do I assign files to a folder?
Select files in the Media Library using checkboxes, then drag and drop them onto a folder in the sidebar.
Can I use this plugin on mobile devices?
Yes. Drag & drop works on touch devices as well. Long press (500ms) on a folder opens the context menu.
Does it work with page builders?
The plugin works alongside all major page builders. It only affects the Media Library admin view, not the front end.
