Description
Konfyra Customer Messaging for WooCommerce connects your store directly to Meta’s official WhatsApp Cloud API — no third-party SaaS markup, no unofficial WhatsApp Web automation that risks your number being banned.
Free features:
- Official WhatsApp Cloud API connection
- Order status notifications for up to 2 statuses
- One customizable message template
- Manual “send WhatsApp” button on the order screen
- Customer consent tracking (checkout opt-in, per-order consent status, audit log) — recommended by Meta’s WhatsApp policy
- Per-order message history and at-a-glance send stats on the Settings page
Premium features (a separate add-on plugin, purchased and downloaded from konfyra.com):
- Unlimited order status triggers and automation rules
- Two-way inbox: reply to customers directly from wp-admin
- AI-drafted reply suggestions
- Multi-language templates and a template library
- Team inbox with role-based access
The Premium add-on requires this free plugin to be installed and active — it extends it rather than replacing it, and is not distributed through WordPress.org.

- A verified WhatsApp Business phone number
- WooCommerce 8.0 or newer
External Services
This plugin connects to Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API to function. No data is sent unless you configure your own credentials in Settings.
Meta WhatsApp Cloud API — required for all core functionality. When an order’s status changes to one of your configured triggers, this plugin sends the customer’s phone number (from the order’s billing phone field) and the rendered message text to Meta’s Graph API (graph.facebook.com) so the message can be delivered over WhatsApp. This only happens if you have entered your own Meta Cloud API credentials in Settings. See Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform Terms (https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/business-policy/) and Meta Privacy Policy (https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/).
This free plugin does not use AI or send any data to Anthropic or any other AI provider. The optional AI-drafted replies feature is only available in the separately-installed Premium add-on, which discloses its own external service use independently.

FAQ
-
Does this use the official WhatsApp API?
-
Yes. This plugin sends all messages through Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API directly. It does not automate a personal WhatsApp number via QR code or browser automation, which violates WhatsApp’s Terms of Service and risks the number being banned.
-
Do I need a Meta Business Account?
-
Yes, and it must have WhatsApp Business API access enabled, with at least one verified phone number.
-
Does WhatsApp charge for messages?
-
Yes, Meta bills per-conversation directly — this plugin does not add any markup on top of WhatsApp’s own pricing.
-
Is the AI reply-drafting feature required?
-
No. It’s an optional Premium feature that only activates if you provide your own Anthropic API key. Every draft is shown to you for review and edited or discarded before anything is sent — nothing is sent to a customer automatically.
