FormFlow Ext for Contact Form 7 and GoHighLevel

Description

FormFlow Ext for Contact Form 7 and GoHighLevel is a native integration plugin that connects your Contact Form 7 (CF7) forms directly to your GoHighLevel (GHL) CRM. Every submission becomes a contact in the right sub-account, tagged and ready to trigger your automations — with no Zapier subscription, no Make.com scenario, and no custom code standing between your form and your CRM.

If you have ever searched for a way to send Contact Form 7 leads into GoHighLevel, sync CF7 submissions to a GHL sub-account, or simply connect WordPress to GoHighLevel without a third-party automation tool, this plugin was built specifically for that job.

Why Choose FormFlow

Most Contact Form 7 to GoHighLevel workflows rely on webhooks, Zapier zaps, or custom PHP snippets that break the moment a form field changes. FormFlow replaces all of that with a purpose-built bridge between CF7 and the GoHighLevel API:

  • ☑️ A guided, visual setup — no code, no webhook URLs to copy and paste.
  • ☑️ Official GoHighLevel OAuth2 authentication, the same connection method GHL recommends for secure API integration.
  • ☑️ Support for unlimited GHL sub-accounts from a single WordPress install, which makes it a natural fit for agencies managing multiple client locations.
  • ☑️ Per-form field mapping and tagging, configured right inside the familiar Contact Form 7 editor.
  • ☑️ A built-in log viewer, so you can confirm contact creation and contact update events without digging through server logs.

Why Integrate Contact Form 7 with GoHighLevel

Contact Form 7 is one of the most widely used WordPress form plugins, but on its own it only sends an email — it has no CRM, no lead routing, and no automation trigger. GoHighLevel, on the other hand, is built around contacts, pipelines, and marketing automation, but it needs a reliable way to receive form data from your website.

Connecting the two turns a simple contact form into a real lead capture and CRM sync system. Instead of manually copying leads from your inbox into GoHighLevel, every CF7 submission becomes an instant contact creation or contact update event, complete with tags that can fire a GoHighLevel workflow the moment the form is submitted.

Perfect For

  • ☑️ Agencies managing multiple client sub-accounts inside GoHighLevel who need reliable, centralized lead routing from client websites.
  • ☑️ Freelancers building WordPress sites for clients who already run their sales process inside GHL.
  • ☑️ Businesses that want their website’s contact forms feeding directly into their CRM instead of an inbox.
  • ☑️ WordPress developers looking for a stable, code-free way to wire CF7 into a client’s GoHighLevel account.
  • ☑️ Digital marketers running lead-gen campaigns who need every form fill to land in the right pipeline with the right tags.
  • ☑️ GoHighLevel users who already rely on GHL for CRM automation and want WordPress to plug straight into it.

Use Cases

  • ☑️ A marketing agency connects 15 client websites to 15 different GHL sub-accounts, each with its own field mapping and tags — all from one central FormFlow license.
  • ☑️ A local business owner sets a CF7 quote request form to tag new contacts as “Website Lead” so a GoHighLevel workflow can text them automatically.
  • ☑️ A WordPress developer delivers a client site where every form — quote requests, contact pages, booking inquiries — syncs into the correct GHL location without a single Zapier task consumed.
  • ☑️ A digital marketer running paid traffic to a CF7 landing page uses tags and location routing to separate cold leads from warm ones the instant they submit.

Benefits

  • ☑️ Eliminate manual data entry between your website and your CRM.
  • ☑️ Remove monthly Zapier or Make automation costs tied to a single integration.
  • ☑️ Reduce points of failure by connecting directly through GoHighLevel’s official API instead of a middleman service.
  • ☑️ Get leads into GoHighLevel fast enough for time-sensitive automations, like instant SMS or email follow-ups.
  • ☑️ Keep full visibility into every sync with built-in logging.

Features

  • ☑️ Native GoHighLevel Integration — connects through GoHighLevel’s official OAuth2 API for secure, reliable API integration.
  • ☑️ Multi-Account and Multi-Location Support — authorize as many GHL sub-accounts as you need and choose exactly which location each form sends data to.
  • ☑️ Form-Specific Field Mapping — map Name, Email, and Phone fields for each Contact Form 7 form individually, right inside the CF7 editor.
  • ☑️ Custom Tags for Workflow Triggers — apply global tags to every lead, or set form-specific tags so submissions can trigger the right GoHighLevel workflow automatically.
  • ☑️ Built-in Logging — a dedicated log viewer for troubleshooting contact creation, contact update, and sync activity.
  • ☑️ No Zapier or Webhooks Required — a direct, native connection between CF7 and GHL.

Workflow

  1. Install and activate FormFlow Ext for Contact Form 7 and GoHighLevel.
  2. Go to FormFlow CF7 Ext > Connect with GoHighLevel and authorize your GHL sub-account through the official OAuth2 flow.
  3. Open any Contact Form 7 form and click the new GoHighLevel tab that FormFlow adds to the CF7 editor.
  4. Select the target GHL location, map your form fields (for example your-name, your-email, your-phone), and add any tags you want applied.
  5. Save the form. From this point on, every submission automatically syncs to GoHighLevel as a new contact or an update to an existing one.
  6. Use the built-in log viewer any time you want to confirm a sync or troubleshoot a submission.

Supported Fields

FormFlow currently maps the core contact fields that GoHighLevel needs to create and manage a contact record:

  • ☑️ Name
  • ☑️ Email
  • ☑️ Phone
  • ☑️ Custom tags (global and per-form)
  • ☑️ GHL location / sub-account selection per form

Security

FormFlow authenticates with GoHighLevel exclusively through OAuth2 authentication — the official, GHL-recommended method for third-party API integration. No API keys are hardcoded, and no credentials are stored in plaintext on your site. Data sent to GoHighLevel is limited to what’s required to create or update the contact record: name, email, phone, tags, and the target location ID. See the External Services section below for full details on what is transmitted and why.

Performance

FormFlow is built to run quietly in the background. It hooks into the standard Contact Form 7 submission process, sends the sync request to the GoHighLevel API, and logs the result — without adding noticeable overhead to your form’s submit time or your site’s page load.

Why Not Zapier?

Zapier and similar tools work, but they add a recurring subscription cost, an extra point of failure, and a delay between the form submission and the CRM sync. FormFlow talks to the GoHighLevel API directly:

  • ☑️ No Zapier task limits or monthly automation fees for this integration.
  • ☑️ No third-party server sitting between your WordPress site and your GoHighLevel account.
  • ☑️ Faster contact creation, since there’s no middle hop.
  • ☑️ One less external service to maintain, update, or troubleshoot when something changes.

FAQ

Does this plugin require Zapier or Make.com?

No. FormFlow connects Contact Form 7 directly to the GoHighLevel API, so no Zapier or Make automation is needed for this integration.

Does FormFlow work with GoHighLevel sub-accounts?

Yes. You can authorize and manage multiple GHL sub-accounts from a single WordPress installation, which makes it well suited for agencies.

Can I connect more than one GoHighLevel location?

Yes. FormFlow supports multi-location and multi-account setups, and you choose which location each individual form sends its leads to.

How does FormFlow authenticate with GoHighLevel?

Through GoHighLevel’s official OAuth2 API, the same secure authentication method GHL recommends for third-party integrations.

Is this a native integration or does it use webhooks?

FormFlow is a native integration built on GoHighLevel’s official API — it does not rely on generic incoming webhooks.

What Contact Form 7 fields can I map to GoHighLevel?

Name, email, and phone are supported out of the box through the visual mapping UI inside the CF7 editor’s GoHighLevel tab.

Does FormFlow create new contacts or update existing ones in GoHighLevel?

Both. If a matching contact already exists in the selected GHL location, FormFlow updates it; otherwise, it creates a new contact.

Can I apply tags to leads automatically?

Yes. You can set global tags that apply to every submission and additional tags for specific forms, which can be used to trigger GoHighLevel workflows.

Will tags trigger my GoHighLevel workflows?

Yes. Any tag applied by FormFlow behaves like a tag applied manually inside GoHighLevel, so it can trigger any workflow set to fire on that tag.

Does FormFlow work with every Contact Form 7 form on my site?

Yes. You can enable and configure the GoHighLevel tab individually on any CF7 form.

Can different forms send leads to different GoHighLevel locations?

Yes. Each form has its own location, field mapping, and tag settings, so a single site can route leads to multiple sub-accounts.

Is there a log of what was sent to GoHighLevel?

Yes. FormFlow includes a built-in log viewer so you can review contact creation and update activity for troubleshooting.

Do I need coding skills to set this up?

No. Setup is handled through a guided UI inside your WordPress dashboard and the Contact Form 7 editor — no code or webhook URLs required.

Is FormFlow suitable for agencies managing client accounts?

Yes. Multi sub-account support and per-form location routing were designed specifically for agency workflow, where one WordPress install may need to serve several client GHL accounts.

What data does FormFlow send to GoHighLevel?

Only what’s required to create or update a contact: name, email, phone, tags, and the GHL location ID. See the External Services section for full details.

Does this plugin slow down my Contact Form 7 forms?

No. The sync to GoHighLevel happens as part of the standard form submission process without adding noticeable delay.

Can I use FormFlow alongside other CRM or marketing tools?

Yes. FormFlow only manages the Contact Form 7 to GoHighLevel connection, so it can run alongside other plugins or marketing tools without conflict.

What happens if a GoHighLevel sync fails?

The attempt and its result are recorded in the built-in log viewer, so you can identify and resolve the issue without losing track of the submission.

Does FormFlow support GoHighLevel marketing automation?

Yes, indirectly. By syncing contacts and applying tags at the moment of submission, FormFlow lets your existing GoHighLevel marketing automation and workflows respond to new leads immediately.

Is FormFlow an official GoHighLevel product?

FormFlow is developed by NexPlugs and connects to GoHighLevel through its official public OAuth2 API; it is not published or maintained by GoHighLevel itself.
