Sticky & Floating Event Banners for Eventin

Description

Sticky & Floating Event Banners for Eventin is a lightweight add-on for the Eventin plugin. It allows you to dynamically generate an interactive banner or a modal window (lightbox) to encourage your users to book upcoming scheduled events.

Main Features:
* Two Templates: Choose between an elegant lightbox window (perfect for the Homepage) or a “sticky” banner at the bottom of the screen.
* Page Assignment: Decide on which pages to display Template 1 or Template 2.
* Full Eventin Integration: Automatically extracts dates, times, and filters from Eventin.
* Optimized Caching: Uses the Transients API to eliminate database load on the frontend.
* Custom Meta Box: Override the button and event text on each individual event page.
* Highly Customizable: Change texts, rotation delay, primary color, and disable the banner on specific URLs.

Installation

  1. Ensure you have the Eventin plugin installed and activated.
  2. Upload the plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install it via the WordPress plugin dashboard.
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  4. Go to Settings -> Eventin Banner to configure the layout and display preferences.

FAQ

Why is the banner not showing?

Ensure you have set “Banner active” from the control panel and have at least one published future event (date > today) in Eventin.

Does it work without Eventin?

No. The plugin requires Eventin to be active as it relies on its custom post types (CPTs).
