External services
Australian Business Register (ABR) — only when you use ABN validation. When you or a customer enters an Australian Business Number and you have entered your own free ABR GUID in the settings, the plugin sends that ABN to the ABR Web Services API (abr.business.gov.au) to validate it and return the legal name and GST status. No data is sent otherwise (the offline ABN checksum needs no network). This free edition does not contact any Asteris server. (EU VAT / VIES validation is part of the separate paid edition.)
