How it works
- Install and activate the plugin from Plugins Add New
- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active
- Edit any Simple product in the WooCommerce product editor
- In Product data General, tick Bundle product
- Open the new Bundle Steps tab and add as many steps as you need. For each step, enter a title and a comma-separated list of simple-product IDs that the customer can pick from
- Save the product and visit it on the frontend to see the step wizard live
Done. The bundle is live on the classic WooCommerce product page and inside the Cart & Checkout Blocks.

Installation
From the WordPress admin
- Go to Plugins Add New in your WordPress admin
- Search for Multistep Product Bundles Lite
- Click Install Now, then Activate
- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active
- Edit any Simple product, tick Bundle product on the General tab, and configure your steps in the new Bundle Steps tab
Manual installation
- Download the plugin .zip file
- Upload the
multistep-product-bundles-litefolder to/wp-content/plugins/ - Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen in WordPress
- Make sure WooCommerce is installed and active
- Edit any Simple product and configure your bundle steps

Does this plugin require WooCommerce?

Yes. WooCommerce must be installed and active. An admin notice will appear if WooCommerce is not detected.

Does it create a new WooCommerce product type?

No. It uses a simple Bundle product checkbox on existing Simple products and stores the step configuration as post meta. That keeps it compatible with most themes, payment gateways, and other WooCommerce plugins out of the box.

How many steps can I have per bundle?

As many as you need — Lite has no step limit. Each step shows a single-select picker, so the customer chooses one product from the list you provide for that step. A multi-select picker (choosing more than one product per step) is available in Multistep Product Bundles Pro.

How does pricing work?

The line price is the bundle parent’s base price plus the price of each chosen child product. A running total updates live on the product page as the customer makes choices.

How are children shown in the cart and order?

The bundle appears as a single line item. The chosen children are listed underneath it (one row per step: “Step title: Child product name”) in the cart, the checkout review, the order details, and the WooCommerce order email.

Can the customer choose more than one product per step, or different quantities?

Not in Lite. A multi-select picker (choosing more than one product per step) and per-step quantity controls are available in Multistep Product Bundles Pro.

Can a step be optional, or shown only when another step is selected a certain way?

Lite supports only simple products as step choices. Variable product support inside steps is available in Multistep Product Bundles Pro.

Can I use this for a pizza builder, meal kit, or gift box?

Yes — those are exactly the use cases Lite is designed for. Set the parent product as the bundle (for example, “Custom Pizza”, “Meal Kit Box”, “Holiday Gift Hamper”), configure each step with the list of options the customer can pick from, and the frontend wizard handles the rest.

Does it work with the WooCommerce Cart & Checkout Blocks?

Yes. Cart & Checkout Blocks compatibility is declared and the plugin hooks into the standard WooCommerce cart item display so bundle children render inside the blocks just like in the classic cart.
