Feed the robots tasty snacks to improve your site’s SEO and AIO.

Really TRULY Free

The only truly free, feature-rich WordPress SEO plugin with no paid upgrades, no upsells, and no bloat. All features, all users, unlimited websites, no catch. Forever.

I like and use the “Big 3” myself, but I don’t like their pricing models and often, I just need the nuts and bolts of basic SEO features without constant upsell nags throughout the admin. I don’t need flashy SEO scores or advanced features or AI writers. I don’t want a setup wizard or a labyrinth of settings pages to navigate through to find one little toggle.

Robot Food isn’t fancy, it’s just useful, which is also the right mindset for SEO itself. If you want to get into the weeds, you can, but SEO isn’t really all that complex or mysterious and can be boiled down to two simple steps:

  1. Be useful. Have quality content or offer worthwhile tools or services.
  2. Be tasty. Have a website that’s secure, fast, and structured well, so it’s easy for both humans and bots to navigate.

FAQ

Is there a paid version?

No. This plugin is intentionally 100% free with all features available to everyone. No paywalled features, no restrictive licensing, no yearly subscription.

But why is there no paid version?

Because the “Big 3” SEO plugins all require ongoing annual subscriptions with per-site licensing. None of them offer a truly unlimited, one-time option for developers managing multiple websites. I build and maintain a lot of sites for myself and clients, and paying hundreds of dollars a year just to have basic SEO covered across all my projects never made sense. So I built the plugin I actually wanted to use: everything you need, no artificial feature walls, free on as many sites as you want.

Is this plugin’s feature set limited?

Free doesn’t mean limited. As an SEO professional who uses this plugin on my own projects every day, I have a personal stake in making sure it stays fully featured and up-to-date. If it’s missing something I need, I’ll add it.

The features deliberately left out are the ones that don’t actually move the needle: readability scoring, keyword density analysis, content grading, AI writing tools, and SEO scores. These are engagement features designed to keep you inside a plugin’s ecosystem, not ranking signals. Google doesn’t rank pages based on whether a plugin gave your content a green light. Good SEO comes down to useful content, a fast and well-structured site, and earning links. Robot Food handles the technical layer. The rest is up to you.

Does this work with WooCommerce products and other custom post types?

Yes. The meta box appears on all public post types including WooCommerce products.

Does this plugin send data to third parties?

Only if you configure tracking services in the Tracking & Verification settings. When a service ID is entered, the relevant third-party script is loaded and data is sent to that service according to their own terms. No data is sent without your configuration.

Services that can be enabled and their privacy policies: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, Pinterest, TikTok, and X.
