What payment methods does Ivno support?

Ivno allows you to accept standard fiat payments including major Credit/Debit Cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. For cards and Apple Pay, each transaction amount or ticket size needs to be larger than $10. For Google Pay, the transaction or order amount needs to be larger than $20. Ivno operates as a fiat-on-ramp. In fiat on-ramp, customers experience a familiar e-commerce checkout using their credit card or mobile wallet. Behind the scenes, our licensed fiat-to-crypto partners instantly convert their payment into USDC and deposit it directly into your connected USDC Polygon wallet instantly or as soon as the transaction clears in the blockchain.

Why does Ivno payout in USDC?

USDC is a fully backed stablecoin pegged 1:1 to the US Dollar. Payouts in USDC on the Polygon network allow us to bypass traditional banking delays and international wire fees, delivering your funds instantly and globally without borders.

Are there any fees associated with the fiat-to-crypto conversion?

Because fiat payments are converted into cryptocurrency by licensed partners, there are processing costs involved. These third-party on-ramp provider fees can be up to 4.5% per transaction, depending on the customer’s region and their chosen payment method. So you can expect total fees = 4.5% on-ramp provider fee + 7.5% Ivno admin fee = 12% total. In your merchant dashboard settings, you have three options to decide who pays the ivno admin fee: (1) Pass 100% of the Ivno admin fee to your customer, or (2) You pay 100% of the ivno admin fee or (3) You split the ivno admin fee 50/50 between you and your customer.

Which countries are supported for merchants and customers?

Ivno is truly global. Merchants from almost anywhere in the world can integrate our gateway to receive USDC, while your customers can pay you globally using their credit/ debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, subject only to standard international gateway compliance. We do not accept merchants from the following prohibited jurisdictions: Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Venezuela, and occupied regions of Ukraine.

How does the payment process work?

Why are my customers required to do KYC before they purchase?

Because fiat currency is being converted into cryptocurrency, international financial regulations require licensed payment providers to perform standard “Know Your Customer” (KYC) checks. This ensures a highly secure environment and protects against fraud and chargebacks.

Will a customer have to repeat the KYC process for every purchase?

No. Once a customer successfully verifies their identity with a specific provider (such as Ramp.network, MoonPay), their profile is saved. Subsequent checkouts will be vastly accelerated, often requiring just a quick confirmation without re-uploading documents.

How do I get my customer to complete KYC?

While the KYC process is seamlessly built into the automated checkout flow, we highly recommend actively educating your customers about it. Adding a brief note on your site or checkout page explaining that a quick identity verification is required helps set expectations. Encouraging them to complete this step significantly reduces cart abandonment and pending orders, ensuring they smoothly reach the end goal: a successfully completed purchase.

How long does it take a customer to complete KYC?

For smaller purchases, “light KYC” utilizing Open Banking can take just seconds. If full document verification is required for larger amounts, the automated system typically processes and approves the user in just 1 to 5 minutes.

How quickly can I access my funds with Ivno?

Instantly. As soon as the customer’s transaction is confirmed by the provider, the USDC is deposited directly into your designated USDC (Polygon network) wallet address. You have immediate access and full control over your money.

How secure is Ivno’s payment system?

Ivno is incredibly secure. We utilize bank-grade encryption, and all fiat transactions are processed by globally licensed, PCI-compliant gateway partners. Because payouts are sent directly to your decentralized wallet, you never run the risk of a centralized platform freezing your account balance.

How do I integrate Ivno with my e-commerce store?

What happens if a customer’s payment fails or is declined?

If a transaction is declined by the customer’s bank or fails the provider’s security checks, the user is notified immediately on the checkout screen. No funds are captured, and the customer can simply retry the purchase using an alternative payment method.
