Product Call For Price For WooCommerce

Description

Product Call For Price For WooCommerce lets you replace the standard WooCommerce price display with any custom message — such as “Call For Price”, “Price On Request”, or “Contact Us” — and automatically removes the Add to Cart button wherever the message is shown. No coding required.

The plugin gives you precise control over exactly which products show the message, with three independent trigger modes: by product category, by price range within a category, or for any product whose price is zero or empty. All three modes can be used simultaneously and are configured from a single, clean settings page in your WordPress admin.

Requires WooCommerce to be installed and activated.

Why Use Call For Price?

Many WooCommerce store owners sell products where a fixed public price is not appropriate — wholesale items, custom-made goods, negotiated pricing, high-value products, or products with prices that change frequently. Displaying a blank price or a $0.00 price looks unprofessional and can reduce trust. Product Call For Price For WooCommerce solves this cleanly by replacing the price with a custom message and hiding the buy button, prompting customers to get in touch instead.

Key Features

Master Enable / Disable Toggle
* Enable or disable the entire plugin with a single checkbox — no need to deactivate the plugin to temporarily turn off the feature
* When disabled, all WooCommerce price and Add to Cart displays return to their default behaviour instantly

Call For Price by Product Category
* Select any WooCommerce product category from a dropdown in the settings
* Every product belonging to that category will automatically display the Call For Price message in place of the price, on both the shop/archive listing pages and individual product pages
* The Add to Cart button is removed from the shop loop and the single product page for all matched products

Call For Price for Zero or Empty Prices
* Enable a dedicated option to show the Call For Price message for any product — across all categories — whose price is set to 0 or left completely empty in WooCommerce
* The Add to Cart button is also removed from the single product page for these products
* Useful as a global catch-all for any product that has not yet had a price set

Display Stock Status for Empty Price Products
* An optional toggle to display the product’s stock status (e.g. “instock”, “outofstock”) in the price area for products with an empty price, instead of a blank space
* Works alongside the other trigger modes and is controlled by a simple checkbox

Call For Price by Product Price Range
* Enable this option to restrict the category-based Call For Price trigger to only products whose price falls within a defined minimum and maximum price range
* Set the Min Price and Max Price values — only products in the selected category AND within that price range will show the Call For Price message
* Products in the same category but outside the price range will continue to display their regular price and Add to Cart button
* Ideal for applying “call for price” only to your most expensive or most custom products within a category

Fully Customisable Message Text
* The displayed message text is completely customisable — change it from the default “Call For Price” to anything you need: “Price On Request”, “Contact Us For Pricing”, “Call Us”, “Get a Quote”, and so on
* The custom text is displayed in bold on both the shop listing and single product page

Supports All WooCommerce Product Types
* Works with simple products
* Works with variable products — replaces both the regular price and the sale price HTML for variable products
* Works with products that have a sale price set

Add to Cart Button Removal
* Automatically removes the Add to Cart button on shop/archive/category listing pages for matched products
* Automatically removes the Add to Cart button on individual single product pages for matched products
* Non-matched products are completely unaffected — their Add to Cart buttons remain intact

Dedicated Admin Settings Page
* A top-level Call For Price menu item is added to the WordPress admin sidebar (with a cart icon) for quick access
* All settings are managed from a single clean settings table — no confusing tabs or sub-pages
* Settings are saved with nonce verification for security
* All saved values are sanitized using sanitize_text_field before being stored

FAQ

Does this plugin require WooCommerce?

Yes. WooCommerce must be installed and activated. The plugin hooks directly into WooCommerce’s price and Add to Cart filters and will not function without it.

Where are the plugin settings?

After activation, a top-level Call For Price menu item (with a cart icon) is added to your WordPress admin sidebar. All settings are on that single page.

Can I change the “Call For Price” text to something else?

Yes. The Message Text setting lets you enter any text you want — for example “Price On Request”, “Contact Us”, “Get a Quote”, or “Call Us”. The text will be displayed in bold wherever it appears.

Does the plugin remove the Add to Cart button?

Yes. The Add to Cart button is automatically removed both on shop/archive listing pages and on single product pages for any product that is showing the Call For Price message. Products not matched by any trigger continue to show the Add to Cart button normally.

Can I show Call For Price only for products within a specific price range?

Yes. Enable the By Product Price Range option and set your Min Price and Max Price values. Only products in your selected category whose price falls within that range will show the message. Products in the same category outside the range will display normally.

Can I show Call For Price for products that have no price set?

Yes. Enable the Enable Call For Price When Price is Zero option. Any product with a price of 0 or an empty price field — in any category — will show the message and have its Add to Cart button removed on the single product page.

Does it work with variable products?

Yes. The plugin hooks into WooCommerce’s variable price HTML and variable sale price HTML filters, so it works correctly with variable products as well as simple and sale-priced products.

Can I use both the category trigger and the zero-price trigger at the same time?

Yes. All trigger modes are independent and can be active simultaneously. A product will show the Call For Price message if it matches any enabled trigger condition.

Will this affect my store’s SEO?

The plugin replaces the price HTML on the front end using WooCommerce’s standard filter hooks. The product pages themselves are not removed or noindexed — only the price display and Add to Cart button are changed for matched products.
