Firstly because I have to type in my Instagram user credentials in the WordPress backend to do xAuth, which isn&#8217;t the way xAuth is supposed to work. Secondly because the entire backend portion of the plugin wouldn&#8217;t work on a test server. There all the options were wrapped in an <code>&lt;a href&gt;<\/code> linking to the WordPress codex for permissions.
