I have been looking for a solution for a long time now. I have an online store using WooCommerce and some items offered can be done with any color someone wants. The issue there is that most people don’t know how to get the hex or cmyk color codes for the specific color they want. There seems to be no plugins for including a color picker in the order fields, so I just thought I would provide a color picker and let them copy\/paste the result into a text field that does go with the order.<\/p>\n
That said… I have found plenty of documentation regarding calling the Iris color picker that is included with WordPress into any admin area…but I haven’t found any good\/working documentation that explains coherently how to call the picker on the frontend. Yes, I know there are plenty of plugins I could use, but aside from having an aversion to installing a plugin for every little feature wanted…that is even more so when I know that there is a feature already present in the core of WordPress that could be used. I know it can be done…just can’t seem to find a working solution with examples.<\/p>\n
