The thing is: Although most of the content is translated via Polylang the front page is not static (it’s the dynamic front page shipped with the theme).

So when I switch the language using the language switcher I keep getting a redirect loop in some browsers (almost always in Safari, sometimes in Firefox and almost never in Chrome). I think that has something to do with the fact there are no language specific static front pages.

I’d be super grateful if someone who’s familiar with what goes on under the hood in Polylang could explain me, what might be going on here.

This is the page link: http://www.poryes.de/ (Feel free to switch languages back and forth – I recommend using Safari to reproduce the issue).

Cheers,
Fred

https://wordpress.org/plugins/polylang/

["post-6091178","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-redirect-loop
["GET
