(www.bodoseilforening.org) I wanted rectangular featured images on the front page with customizer. What I did is the following:<br \/>\nI used the following CSS in my child theme:<\/p>\n<pre><code>\/*remove round divider*\/\n.round-div {\n\tdisplay: none;\n}\n\n\/*change thumbnail size*\/\n.thumb-wrapper {\n\tdisplay: block;\n\theight: 200px;\n\twidth: 270px;\n} \n\n.tc-thumbnail.span4 {\n\twidth: 270px;\n\theight: 200px;\n\tmargin-bottom: 30px;\n}<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>I also needed to avoid cropping of the featured images so I copied &#8220;class-fire-init.php&#8221; to my child theme and changed line nr. 69 to:<br \/>\n<code>$this -&gt; tc_thumb_size      = array(&#039;width&#039; =&gt; 270 , &#039;height&#039; =&gt; 200, &#039;crop&#039; =&gt; false );<\/code><\/p>\n<p>This does essentially what I want.<br \/>\nUnfortunately just copying a core file seems not be a very good solution since I do not know what the next customizer update will do to my website.
