This is the first time in a long while that I’ve tried to broadcast a page. <\/p>\n

About a year ago, I posted a hack that let Social broadcast pages as well as posts. Now I see that there’s a nifty checkbox that lets users opt in and out of broadcasting either posts or pages. Glad to see that.<\/p>\n

However, when I tried to broadcast a page for the first time, I got this:<\/p>\n

Social failed to broadcast the blog post “Web Writing Checklist for Newbies: 10 Tips Before You Publish Your Web Project” to one or more of your Social accounts.<\/p>\n

Facebook: Dennis G. Jerz ((#100) description parameter cannot be longer than 10000 characters.)
\nPossible fixes:
\nSocial was not successful in broadcasting this post (perhaps the service is down?), please try broadcasting again. If you receive this message repeatedly, you can try the support forums.\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I certainly didn’t type more than 10000 characters in the description box — right now it reads “Minor updates to a still-relevant page I wrote in 2002.”<\/p>\n

Of course I’ll try again later, but in the meanwhile I’d welcome thoughts.<\/p>\n
