[Plugin: NextGen} Image not writable error or memory limit err<\/p>\n
Hello- I have a few wordpress site hosted on my godaddy account. Thru FTP I uploaded 100 photos (not that high res, 400-1000k) which NextGen can view and show, but they take forever to load and don’t display in slideshow.<\/p>\n
When importing with NextGen from the ftp uploaded I receive a memory limit error and no thumbnails are created.<\/p>\n
When I try to bulk resize I get the error that the .jpg is not writable. <\/p>\n
STEPS I HAVE TAKEN:
\nThere 20+posts related to this, but none have helped or are recent. I have altered the \/wp-content\/plugins\/nextgen-gallery\/lib\/gd.thumbnail.inc.php file to remove (remove the \/\/) from before @ini_set(‘memory_limit’, ‘128M’);
\nas indicated in this guide ( http:\/\/www.visser.com.au\/blog\/thumbnail-generation-php-memory-limit-nextgen-gallery\/ )<\/p>\n
This did not help.<\/p>\n
Resize images smaller (orig were 2mb now ~1mb or less)<\/p>\n
No luck.<\/p>\n
Peruse internet for hour plus.<\/p>\n
