{"id":3173252,"date":"2012-11-07T14:19:25","date_gmt":"2012-11-07T14:19:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/server-wont-reply-to-post-request\/"},"modified":"2016-08-20T17:21:28","modified_gmt":"2016-08-20T17:21:28","slug":"server-wont-reply-to-post-request","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/server-wont-reply-to-post-request\/","title":{"rendered":"Server won&#039;t reply to POST request"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m working on a WordPress site that&#8217;s served by two lighttpd backends behind an F5 load balancer.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the site was served by a single lighttpd server behind a nginx reverse proxy, and everything worked fine.<\/p>\n<p>Now, sometimes when sending POST info from the WordPress admin (for instance, when editing general options or editing navigation menus) the site won&#8217;t reply anything at all. I know that it&#8217;s receiving the request, because it actually updates the info, but the browser never gets a response.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not seeing anything unusual on the WordPress debug log or the lighttpd logs, so my guess it&#8217;s that the problem it&#8217;s related to the load balancer.<\/p>\n<p>Can you think of any reason for this behavior?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-3173252","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-lighttpd","topic-tag-load-balancer","topic-tag-server"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/3173252","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/3173252\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3173252"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
