Hello, I have been trying to customize the comment form on blog posts in order to send a custom field with the comment. I added the field successfully but after sending the comment the field doesn’t get sent. It’s urgent that I get it working, I need it to be included in the e-mail sent when a post is submitted.<\/p>\n
Here’s the code I used to remove the url and include a nationality field:<\/p>\n
function mytheme_remove_url($arg) {\n $arg['url'] = '';\n return $arg;\n}\nadd_filter('comment_form_default_fields', 'mytheme_remove_url');\n\nfunction my_fields($fields) {\n $fields['new'] = '<p><label for="nationality">Nationality<\/label>\n <input type="text" name="nationality" id="nationality" \/><\/p>';\n return $fields;\n}\nadd_filter('comment_form_default_fields','my_fields');<\/code><\/pre>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-2250168","topic","type-topic","status-closed","hentry","topic-tag-comment","topic-tag-custom","topic-tag-form","topic-tag-post"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/2250168","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/2250168\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2250168"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
