{"id":2083052,"date":"2011-05-16T05:48:51","date_gmt":"2011-05-16T05:48:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/plugin-stolen\/"},"modified":"2016-08-20T00:03:25","modified_gmt":"2016-08-20T00:03:25","slug":"plugin-stolen","status":"closed","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/plugin-stolen\/","title":{"rendered":"Plugin Stolen?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m the author of a WordPress plugin called Sharebar: https:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/sharebar\/<\/p>\n<p>Someone else has reposted the plugin <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/cevhershare\/\">here<\/a> (https:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/cevhershare\/) and the only things they&#8217;ve changed are the name\/credit and donation link, which they&#8217;ve changed to their own.<\/p>\n<p>While the plugin is released under GPL, MIT and BSD license, it seems a bit counterintuitive to have people downloading the exact same thing from two different sources.
