{"id":19035004,"date":"2026-10-02T14:42:32","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T14:42:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/error-missing_required_customer_field-address-line2\/"},"modified":"2026-10-02T14:42:32","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T14:42:32","slug":"error-missing_required_customer_field-address-line2","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/error-missing_required_customer_field-address-line2\/","title":{"rendered":"Error: missing_required_customer_field: address-&gt;line2"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;re seeing this exact issue today (2026-10-02) and last days on WooCommerce Stripe Gateway <strong>v11.0.0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Error: <code>missing_required_customer_field: address-&gt;line2<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payment method: Apple Pay (confirmed via Stripe Dashboard logs \u2014 <code>\"tokenization_method\": \"apple_pay\"<\/code>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Classic checkout (not Blocks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Backtrace goes through <code>StoreApi\/Routes\/V1\/Checkout.php<\/code>, consistent with the Express Checkout (wallet) flow bypassing our normal billing form validation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both <code>$_POST<\/code> and <code>WC()-&gt;customer<\/code> had complete billing data at the time of failure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applied the <code>wc_stripe_create_customer_required_fields<\/code> workaround suggested in this thread (unsetting <code>address.line2<\/code>) as a temporary fix<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was able to reproduce this myself and can confirm the bug reported by customers.
