This is usually caused by a firewall, security plugin, or server rule rejecting requests from WordPress.com.<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve confirmed that xmlrpc.php is accessible, and responds with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><code>XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve contacted the hosting provider (WP Engine) and they don&#8217;t see anything on their end preventing access.
