{"id":19021116,"date":"2026-09-16T00:25:58","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T00:25:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/intermittent-error-uncaught-error-class-wpseo_rewrite\/"},"modified":"2026-09-16T00:25:58","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T00:25:58","slug":"intermittent-error-uncaught-error-class-wpseo_rewrite","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/intermittent-error-uncaught-error-class-wpseo_rewrite\/","title":{"rendered":"Intermittent error &#8211; Uncaught Error: Class &#8220;WPSEO_Rewrite&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are using the free version of Yoast SEO are seeing an intermittent error that occurs regardless of whether the plugin is active or has been deactivated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When this error occurs we see a large number of 403 errors triggered which appears to affect visitors to the website as well as Jetpack REST-API access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our website is hosted on wordpress.com and wordpress.com support have advised that we reach out to Yoast support regarding this issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have uninstalled and reinstalled Yoast v25.8 on our website, however the plugin is flagged as &#8220;Updates managed by WordPress.com&#8221; and we are unable to verify any of the files installed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When logged in to https:\/\/my.wordpress.com\/sites\/(our-url), the following error has been repeatedly appearing for the last 48 hours:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>Your site cannot currently be reached<br \/>There has been a critical error on this website.
