Unfortunately, that enthusiasm has waned, and I&#8217;m looking for an alternative:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1.) I had, of course, researched the prices beforehand. After two days of testing, I wanted to purchase an annual license for 40 templates, as offered on the website, since I own several websites (including internal ones).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I calculated that I would need four templates per website and planned for 10 websites on one server. The price of $96 seemed fair. However, during the checkout process, I suddenly had to purchase licenses per site. This wasn&#8217;t mentioned anywhere beforehand. Furthermore, four templates per site weren&#8217;t possible\u2014only two or ten. This meant that using the 40 templates no longer cost $96 but $330 per year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2.) Since penalties for data protection violations are now very high in the EU, I checked beforehand where the hosting and data processing took place. The provider advertised an EU data center and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Unfortunately, that&#8217;s not the case. Using this plugin violates EU law, specifically in Germany. So, stay away \u2013 the penalties are severe, especially since further stricter regulations will come into effect on September 11th and 27th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3.) It&#8217;s very strange that a company that wants money from me and should actually be proud of its product is unwilling to publish its address and company name anywhere on its website. This is unprofessional behavior and also contradicts European legal requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Result: Since I can&#8217;t use this retrospectively changed licensing model and data protection laws aren&#8217;t being met, I&#8217;ve wasted two days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-19016792","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/19016792","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/19016792\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=19016792"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
