{"id":19010682,"date":"2026-09-03T13:20:03","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T13:20:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/php-8-5-deprecation-warning-in-tracker-js\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T13:20:03","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T13:20:03","slug":"php-8-5-deprecation-warning-in-tracker-js","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/php-8-5-deprecation-warning-in-tracker-js\/","title":{"rendered":"PHP 8.5 Deprecation Warning in Tracker.js"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hi,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m currently running the latest PHP 8.5, and I\u2019m also using the latest versions of WP Statistics, WordPress, and my other relevant plugins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I noticed the following warning in the WP Statistics Tracker Debugger:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Type: Deprecated<br \/>Message: Method SplObjectStorage::attach() is deprecated since 8.5; use method SplObjectStorage::offsetSet() instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Tracker.js Status and Hit Endpoint Status are both successful, so tracking appears to be working correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Could you please confirm whether this warning is generated by WP Statistics itself or by one of its dependencies?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since I\u2019m using the latest PHP 8.5 and the latest software versions, should WP Statistics be updated to replace SplObjectStorage::attach() with SplObjectStorage::offsetSet() for full PHP 8.5 compatibility?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-19010682","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/19010682","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/19010682\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=19010682"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
