{"id":19002503,"date":"2026-08-25T12:06:52","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T12:06:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/elementor-pro-formsubmit-button-stays-disabled-after-validation\/"},"modified":"2026-08-25T12:06:52","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T12:06:52","slug":"elementor-pro-formsubmit-button-stays-disabled-after-validation","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/elementor-pro-formsubmit-button-stays-disabled-after-validation\/","title":{"rendered":"Elementor Pro formSubmit button stays disabled after validation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hi,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I\u2019m experiencing a specific issue with hCaptcha for WP 5.2.0 in combination with an Elementor Pro form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The form contains an Elementor Acceptance field for the privacy policy as well as an hCaptcha field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The issue only occurs in the following sequence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>I leave the required Acceptance field unchecked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I successfully complete the hCaptcha challenge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I click the submit button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elementor correctly detects that the required Acceptance field has not been checked and prevents the form submission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I then check the Acceptance field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The hCaptcha challenge is still successfully completed and appears valid.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>However, the submit button remains disabled and can no longer be clicked.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If I check the Acceptance field before completing hCaptcha, everything works correctly and the form can be submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So the problem seems to occur specifically after Elementor\u2019s validation has failed once while hCaptcha was already completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the browser inspector, the submit button then contains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>disabled\ndata-hcaptcha-disabled=\"1\"<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It appears that after the failed Elementor validation, hCaptcha disables the submit button but does not enable it again when the missing Acceptance field is subsequently completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I also tested the \u201cDelay Showing hCaptcha, ms\u201d setting with <code>0<\/code>, but this did not change the behaviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Environment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>hCaptcha for WP: 5.2.0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elementor Pro form (Elementor Pro Version 4.2.2)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Required Acceptance field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hCaptcha field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Could you please check this problem?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you very much for your support.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-19002503","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/19002503","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/19002503\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=19002503"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
