I really like the architecture, performance, and overall quality of the plugin.

However, unfortunately, the current state of RTL support has made GenerateBlocks extremely difficult — and in some cases practically impossible — to use on RTL websites.

I have identified several serious issues that appear to be related to RTL handling and locale detection.1. Admin translations depend on the site’s locale instead of the WordPress admin locale

The first issue is related to localization.

GenerateBlocks appears to determine its language based on the site/frontend locale, rather than the actual language selected for the WordPress administration area.

For example:

The website language is Persian, Arabic, Spanish, etc.

The WordPress admin/dashboard language is English.

However, GenerateBlocks continues to display its admin interface in the site’s language instead of English.

This is problematic because WordPress allows administrators to have a language that is different from the site’s frontend language.

For example, an Arabic or Persian website may intentionally have an English WordPress dashboard.

In that situation, GenerateBlocks should respect the current user’s/admin locale (
get_user_locale()
) for its administration interface rather than relying solely on the site’s global locale.

At the moment, this behavior makes the GenerateBlocks admin experience inconsistent with the rest of WordPress.2. GenerateBlocks admin/settings pages are severely broken on RTL websites

The second issue is much more serious.

When the website is configured with an RTL language such as Persian or Arabic, several GenerateBlocks administration pages become severely broken.

For example, the Settings page has major layout/UI problems, as if some of the required CSS or JavaScript is not being loaded or is not correctly handling RTL layouts.

Even more concerning, some other sections such as:

Asset Library

Global Styles

Other GenerateBlocks admin sub-pages

may appear completely blank.

There is no meaningful interface displayed at all, even when the GenerateBlocks license is active.

This makes it appear as though the required admin application or its assets have failed to initialize.3. Changing only the WordPress admin language does not resolve the issue

I also tested changing the WordPress dashboard language to an LTR language such as English.

Unfortunately, this does not resolve the problem.

The only way to make the GenerateBlocks settings pages properly usable is to change the entire site’s locale to an LTR language.

In other words:

RTL site + English admin → GenerateBlocks admin remains broken

LTR site + English admin → GenerateBlocks admin works normally

This strongly suggests that the issue is related to the site’s RTL/LTR direction rather than simply the language selected for the WordPress dashboard. Why this is a critical issue

These are not minor visual inconsistencies.

For users running Persian, Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu, and other RTL websites, these issues can effectively make the GenerateBlocks administration interface unusable.

A WordPress user should be able to:

Run an RTL website.

Use an English WordPress dashboard if desired.

Access GenerateBlocks settings normally.

Use Asset Library and Global Styles.

Manage the plugin without having to temporarily change the entire site’s language to an LTR language.

At the moment, this is not possible reliably.

Considering the quality of GenerateBlocks itself, I was honestly surprised to encounter such significant RTL compatibility problems.Rating

I sincerely hope the team can investigate these issues and improve RTL support so that GenerateBlocks can provide the same excellent experience to RTL users as it does to LTR users.

Thank you for your work on GenerateBlocks, and I hope these issues can be addressed in a future release.

["post-18998140","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry
["GET
