{"id":18994744,"date":"2026-08-16T10:52:57","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T10:52:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/passkey-on-multisite-domains\/"},"modified":"2026-08-16T10:52:57","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T10:52:57","slug":"passkey-on-multisite-domains","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/passkey-on-multisite-domains\/","title":{"rendered":"passkey on multisite-domains"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ve created a passkey for my multi-site installation, and I can login using the passkey on the main domain but not on another domain, ie:<br \/>mainsite.org &lt;- works. <br \/>othersiteonsameinstallation.org &lt;- does not work but gives error:<br \/><br \/><em>SecurityError: The requested RPID did not match the origin or related origins.<\/em><br \/><br \/>othersiteonsameinstallation.org is listed on Allowed Passkey Hostnames in settings.<br \/><br \/>Maybe this has something to do with the fact that only superadmins can use the passkey feature?<br \/><br \/>(imho: it is a shame to only superadmins can use passkeys on multisite, as system adinimstrators are usually more aware of security and phishing risks than regular users.
