{"id":18963148,"date":"2026-07-12T19:14:28","date_gmt":"2026-07-12T19:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/horizontal-scrolling-enabled-but-not-working-in-chrome-edge\/"},"modified":"2026-07-12T19:14:28","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T19:14:28","slug":"horizontal-scrolling-enabled-but-not-working-in-chrome-edge","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/horizontal-scrolling-enabled-but-not-working-in-chrome-edge\/","title":{"rendered":"Horizontal scrolling enabled, but not working in Chrome\/Edge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hello Tobias,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have enabled&nbsp;<strong>&#8220;Horizontal scrolling&#8221;<\/strong>&nbsp;in the table options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Safari: works correctly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Firefox: works correctly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chrome: only the first columns are visible, no horizontal scrolling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Microsoft Edge: same behaviour as Chrome<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have confirmed that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>the &#8220;Horizontal scrolling&#8221; option is enabled and the table has been saved,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>there are no JavaScript errors in the browser console,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><code>dataTables_scroll<\/code>\u00a0and\u00a0<code>dataTables_scrollBody<\/code>\u00a0are not present in the generated HTML.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The table is embedded with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>&#091;table id=1 \/]\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is there anything else that should be enabled?
