{"id":18884939,"date":"2026-04-19T17:18:20","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T17:18:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/problems-with-firefox-readability\/"},"modified":"2026-04-19T17:18:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T17:18:20","slug":"problems-with-firefox-readability","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/problems-with-firefox-readability\/","title":{"rendered":"Problems with Firefox Readability"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hi, I&#8217;ve been using your plugin for several years now, and it&#8217;s always been great.<br \/>A friend pointed out that, unfortunately, the privacy panel is completely intercepted by Mozilla Readability (Firefox and the library).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My site is linked to a Discourse forum, and the content of some articles was sometimes replaced by the content of the panel&#8217;s main page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I then fixed the page&#8217;s HTML and told Discourse which CSS classes to select for extraction, and that solved the problem, but with Firefox, it still hasn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To block the panel&#8217;s content, I inserted the text between the tag<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><code>&lt;aside class=\"ignore-readability\"&gt;&lt;\/aside&gt;<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and it worked! But now the logo area is been detected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Is it possible to fix this problem?
