What I find limiting is that we can’t override attributes like the image associated with a Media & Text block or Cover block. So the only way to create a Synced “Hero” Pattern (for instance) with Overrides would be with an Image block. Layout-wise that limits you to using Columns as the wrapper and putting an overridden Image Block inside a Column. You can’t make a Synced Pattern based on a Cover or Media & Text Block for instance where the user can change the image. Their only option would be to detach the Pattern.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-18846875","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/18846875","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/18846875\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":18846877,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/18846875\/revisions\/18846877"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=18846875"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
