In the admin if you enter the &#8216; (apostrophe) character it is encoded to &amp;#x27; in the admin and &amp;#039; on the front end.  This causes a javascript error in the admin when you click the apply link while editing a custom form field with that character in the label and I can see &amp;#039; on the page when it should be interpreted as an entity.  That javascript error makes it so you can&#8217;t edit the form field any more and it is stuck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.sterup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/appointments-error.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-18836075","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/18836075","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/18836075\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":18836078,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/18836075\/revisions\/18836078"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=18836075"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
