Since a recent update of the “Mollie Payments for WooCommerce” plugin, we are experiencing a critical issue where order statuses are not updating automatically after a successful payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The payment is processed correctly and shows as “paid” in our Mollie dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This issue started right after the plugin was updated and the webhook URL changed from the legacy \/wc-api\/<\/code> endpoint to the new \/wp-json\/mollie\/v1\/webhook<\/code> endpoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have performed extensive troubleshooting and can confirm that the issue does not<\/strong> seem to be on our website’s end:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Webhook Endpoint is Reachable:<\/strong> We tested the endpoint (\/wp-json\/mollie\/v1\/webhook<\/code>) directly with curl<\/code>, and it correctly returns a 200 OK<\/code> status. The server is not blocking the URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Webhooks Are Arriving:<\/strong> We added custom server-side logging. We can see that Mollie’s POST requests (webhooks) do<\/em> arrive on our server, but they often arrive with a significant delay compared to when the payment was completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manual Trigger Works Instantly:<\/strong> If we manually send a POST request to our webhook URL with a valid transaction ID from a “pending” order, the order status updates to “Processing” or “Completed” immediately<\/strong>. This proves that our website’s processing logic is working perfectly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conflicts & Caching Ruled Out:<\/strong> We have deactivated all non-essential plugins (caching, security, etc.) and cleared all caches. The issue persists, confirming it is not a plugin conflict or caching problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Action Scheduler is Clear:<\/strong> We have checked the WooCommerce Action Scheduler, and there are no pending or stuck Mollie-related tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our analysis strongly indicates that the website, WooCommerce, and the Mollie plugin are all functioning correctly. The root cause of the problem is a significant delay in the webhook delivery from Mollie’s servers<\/strong> to our server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
