I appear to be able to receive direct messages from Mastodon (i.e. &#8216;mentioned people only&#8217;) as they just show up in my feed. I cannot see a way to send them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason I&#8217;d like to send DMs is to use my own domain as my Bluesky handle via Bridgy Fed.  Friends has allowed me to use Bridgy Fed since I can now follow @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy.
