I recently switched from Yoast SEO to SmartCrawl and imported the Yoast settings through the setup wizard. When I view my sitemaps through the plugin, I notice that there may be duplicates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within the plugin, if I click to view the sitemaps it takes me here<\/a>. Within that page, there are three sitemaps – each has a “1” at the end of the URL. Thinking that was odd, I changed the URL to remove the “1” to see where it would resolve. At that page, I can see there is another sitemap that is slightly different. Here’s one example: page sitemap with “1” in the URL<\/a>, compared to page sitemap without “1” in the URL<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I assume having two sets of sitemaps can’t be good for the site’s SEO.
