I have looked all over for this request in the forums. The requests I found made suggestions that did not work, though.<\/p>\n
Basically, my site was working fine. I was trying to delete the title of my blog from the top of the homepage. I thought I would be able to achieve this by deleting the Blog URL\/Home URL in the settings. As soon as I did that and updated, I was unable to access my page. I keep getting – “Error establishing a database connection”<\/p>\n
I tried repairing the wp_config.php file. It said everything was fine.<\/p>\n
Then I tried adding <\/p>\n
define(‘WP_HOME’,’http:\/\/example.com’);
\ndefine(‘WP_SITEURL’,’http:\/\/example.com’);<\/p>\n
to the wp_config.php file (with my URL replacing “example”)<\/p>\n
Then I tried adding<\/p>\n
update_option(‘siteurl’,’http:\/\/example.com\/blog’);
\nupdate_option(‘home’,’http:\/\/example.com\/blog’);<\/p>\n
to the functions.php file (with my URL replacing “example”)<\/p>\n
(those ideas were found here: https:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Changing_The_Site_URL)<\/p>\n
None of that worked. Any help would be appreciated.
