{"id":15033073,"date":"2021-11-03T15:08:31","date_gmt":"2021-11-03T15:08:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/disapointed-5\/"},"modified":"2021-11-03T15:08:31","modified_gmt":"2021-11-03T15:08:31","slug":"disapointed-5","status":"publish","type":"topic","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/topic\/disapointed-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Disapointed&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I bought the pro version to process user input data with regex or &#8220;custom code&#8221;. <\/p>\n<p>I cannot use it for the following reasons :<\/p>\n<p>Regex and custom code will only work to define &#8220;acceptable&#8221; data, with no warning message.<br \/>\nI need them to detect specific data, with a warning message. <\/p>\n<p>There is a mixup with error messages : I cannot differentiate the message for an front-side invalid entry (&#8220;text is too short&#8221; for example) and the message for server-side invalid data based on regex or custom code.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;custom code&#8221; terminology seems very optimistic, as it is just a set of values that are accepted.
