When I try to do this from the dashboard &#8212; clicking the &#8220;Update Now&#8221; button on wp-admin\/update-core.php &#8212; I get the following:<\/p>\n<pre><code>Update WordPress\nDownloading update from https:\/\/downloads.wordpress.org\/release\/wordpress-5.7-no-content.zip\u2026\n\nThe authenticity of wordpress-5.7-no-content.zip could not be verified as no signature was found.\n\nUnpacking the update\u2026\n\nVerifying the unpacked files\u2026\n\nThere has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.\n\nLearn more about debugging in WordPress.<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>Some details:<\/p>\n<p>* I&#8217;ve been able to burrow down into the server, and have found where the .zip file gets downloaded.  It gets there, and appears to get successfully unpacked (at least, when I save the .zip during the install process, I can unpack it manually).  The downloaded version gets deleted as part of the failed install attempt cleanup, but at least it made it there.<\/p>\n<p>* I&#8217;ve been all over my email, spam folders and all, and have checked \/var\/log\/maillog on my server, and there&#8217;s no evidence of any email having to do with this failure.<\/p>\n<p>* When I get notifications that new versions of plugins are available, I can click the &#8220;update now&#8221; link in the dashboard, and they get successfully updated.  It&#8217;s just the core update that&#8217;s failing.<\/p>\n<p>* Yes, I know I could just download the 5.7 install, move it to the server, unpack it, move all the files around, etc, etc.  I may have to.  But I&#8217;m hoping that there&#8217;s some dumb server configuration thing I&#8217;ve missed that will let the automatic update thing work, as it ought to.<\/p>\n<p>Any advice out there?
