When I enable the Really Simple SSL plugin in the backend I get the error: Detected possible certificate issues

I tried updating my WP settings to use the HTTPS version of the url, but then the site crashed and I got an error saying too many redirects, so I change the url back to HTTP in phpmyadmin. <\/p>\n
I’m not sure what to do. It seems like something is broken either with the certificate, or in my wordpress installation. Have you seen this issue before? Any advice?
