The issue is that I have my wp site set that new users must be manually activated.  But I would like the existing users from the external db to be automatically active in WP if they are active in the external db.<br \/>\nCurrently this is what happens to an existing (active) user when they try to login to wp:<br \/>\n1) They go to the login page in wp and login with their existing username and password.<br \/>\n2)They get an error that the username\/password is incorrect.<br \/>\n3) Their existing u\/p is now in the wp users but is inactive.<br \/>\n4) I manually activate it and now instead of the u\/p incorrect error, they login successfully.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-11078825","topic","type-topic","status-publish","hentry","topic-tag-active","topic-tag-database","topic-tag-login"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/11078825","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/topic"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/topic\/11078825\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/support\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=11078825"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
