I would like to use the blog page as my home page, where all the latest blog posts will be displayed. What I am missing however is a static message above all these blog posts. Is there a built-in feature of WordPress that can do this? I know there\u2019s the sticky option of blog posts but I don\u2019t want the message to be a blog post (i.e. clickable and links you to the actual post, date and user who posted it are displayed, etc…)<\/p>\n
It seems like a basic thing to me but apparently it doesn\u2019t exist unless you tweak a lot of things? Well, I hope I just missed something! I don\u2019t want to mess around too much with the site code etc.<\/p>\n

Edit: Something just came to my mind. I could also use a blog page as the front page, but is there a way to display its name and content if I do that? If I set a page as the blog page, it seems that title and content are automatically hidden.
